Question:
What is the best contraceptive method?
2008-05-25 22:39:48 UTC
There are many many methods available. Pills makes me sick. He is not comfortable with latex. I hate a metal or plastic in me. We both do not like an operation. (I hope, most of the couple have the same feelings). Finally settling on Pull Out. This works great for me, but he has a little dissatisfaction at the end. Regarding safe periods, I have a very irregular cycle and so, I can not depend on dates also.

How do you manage you show? We are desparate to get a better / safe practice.

I do hope you realize that the "pull out" method is NOT a method of birth control, at all.

Pre ejaculate also contains sperm and can be on the tip of the penis without you or your partner even knowing.

He isn't comfortable with latex? They make condoms from other materials as well. They also make birth control patches and 4 time a year shots. If you have irregular periods you should talk to your OB about what would help regulate them and prevent pregnancy, because you are on the fast track to a baby!

Doesn't leave you many options!

Withdrawal isn't very effective.

I have an Implanon implant - I seriously hated the idea of having plastic in my arm, but after a while you don't even know it's there, and no one can see it. I'm sorry I didn't try it sooner - it is super reliable (the only form of reversible female sterilisation they say!). And if it doesn't agree with you, you can get it removed and things go back to normal immediately. Unlike the depo shot which takes some time to wear off, plus I have heard some bad things about depo and infertility.

Failing that, there are a lot of pills out there - if one doesn't agree with you there are plenty more to try. I don't trust the pill though, but the Implanon I've found is great! I'd highly recommend it.

to assert there has never been a greater sexually indulgent time is utter non sense, on the grounds that mankind first emerged there grew to become into intercourse and could constantly be intercourse. yet enable's ask this how "christian" is it whilst teenagers do not use contraceptives and abandon their offspring. Sexuality is god given present besides, so in case you're combating the delivery of undesirable or greater suitable stated unprepared for new child how is that being unChirstan...

The best method for not getting pregnant is abstinence. Are you a married couple? Do you already have children and not want any more? You left a lot unanswered to give you more options. I'd speak to your gynecologist to see what they may suggest. There is a female condom that might work for you.

So basically you shouldnt be having sex. Hopefully youll get pregnant and be forced to be a parent and live with your stupidness.

Everyone knows the pull-out method is like 100% not safe. And not only that, but your irregular so its more like 150% not safe.

best method: abstinence

worst method: pull-out

At least get the sponge. It's soft and foamy, and feels like the rest of you to him. It has a pretty high fail rate compared to other methods, but it's way better than pull-out. Even pre-*** has sperm in it, so it's only a matter of time before you get pregnant.

Why don't you try the patch. Depo might not be good for you since you have iregular periods. Pulling out is not a good contraceptive- pre *** can get you pregnant. try patches, that may be the best. Good Luck!!
