My husband is currently going thru drug rehab, He's 2 weeks into it and 3 weeks sober.

He's going thru his mood swinging stage. Everyday he wakes up thinking its going ot be a good day, but by 9am, he calls me and is all grumpy and crabby.

I'm looking for some good quotes or thoughts of encouragement I could text him throughout the day. Something that will put a smile on his face. I've already told him a thousand times I'm so proud of him for making the first steps towards being drug free, But I'm running out of things to say to try and brighten his day,

Any thoughts. All are appreciated

i used for 27 years and am now clean for 3 yrs and 3 days. it is a hard journy on the road to recovery. i did it through rehab and narcotics anonomous. he is lucky to have you there to support him he needs all of that he can get.. as for what to say just speak from your heart and keep encouraging him.. the 2 of you have a long battle ahead but it is possible if he wants it .. i am proof of that. he needs to find a sponser to talk to.. every body in NA has gone through the same thing and can be very supportive and helpfull.. take it 1 day at a time.. i'll pray for you both and good luck

First off, good for your man! Getting help is not easy, so I do recommend he attend as many NA (Narcotics Anonymous) meetings as he can. They do help! Learn the Serenity prayer too. They only other things I have are:

Sometimes all you have to do is be there to listen.....And sometimes just an .."i love you"..is ok too ! =)...Good luck and congrats to him on what he's doing and just a reminder that you are a wonderful person for being there for him too....it's not easy going through this, but i'm sure with your support, you will get him through this one.....stay strong and never give up !!!

Just keep reiterating to him that he's doing great. Don't talk to him like a child. I'm sure you won't. I think if I was in that position, I'd just like to have someone listen to me and just say little things like, "You know, you're doing great with this. I really mean it."
