I LOVE listening/reading about stories of people who married their best friend. If you married your best friend, please tell me your love story. Or if you know someone who married their best friend please share your story with me. Since when were u guys best friends? how old were u when u got married? what made u want to get married with your best friend? For how long did u two date?

I married my best friend. We dated two years. We were 23 and 24 when we married.

He was really good when we were dating.

But he was insecure and needed approval, and after being married a few years, he started sleeping with other women (that's one way of getting approval) ... the marriage didn't last. I understand his psychological issues that caused him to cheat ... but that didn't mean I was prepared to live with it.

I married my best friend. I wasn't looking to get remarried nor was he. We were best friends for about a year before we realized there was more to our relationship. We got married almost 18 years ago. We have had our ups and downs but the ups definitely outweigh the downs and we have a good marriage. He is still my best friend.

I was eating dinner with a girlfriend and her guy. His phone wrang and I said jokingly "I'll answer it". So he handed me the phone. I answer the phone with a "So what are you wearing" he responds "Blue Khakis, blue t-shirt, just got off work" asked what he did, he tells me he's in the coast guard then invites me out for dinner. 2 minute conversation. I agree for dinner and ask where he was at "Im in Alaska" oooh I say.. I'm in California.. I laugh. He tells me he will fly me out there after he gets back from visiting his family. He calls me on his way flying to his home town in So. Carolina, we talk hours on end and he makes plans to get me out to Alaska. On his flight back from So. Carolina, he landed in Seattle Washington, his flight was delayed a few hours, I told him to delay it a week. He did, then drove all the way out - 13 hour drive - to meet me for the first time. I quit my job to spend the week with him. Had the greatest week, then I drove him back to Washington. Few weeks later I flew out to Alaska to visit him for 2 weeks. Took me out to dinner, kicked my feet under the table, ****** his head "Wanna get married" I shrugged my shoulders said "Sure why not"... all this before he even said he loved me or that I loved him. Every other month I flew out there to see him, spent a few weeks at a time. After knowing him 3 months, his family flew out to California, met my family and we got married on the beach in Neveda. We still have the greates of adventures. I can tell him everything and anything and he is always there for me at the drop of a hat. Once I was having a bad week, things wheren't going my way - was down in the dumps - I was in California, he in Alaska - He said "Baby, watcha want?" I respond "I want to fly, I want to feel free as a bird" - so he took leave of work, drove from Alaska to me and we went ski diving. Then we traveled the coast for week doing everything under the sun, you name it, we'd do it. He is now stationed in California, this was 5 years ago and we are still the most amazing of friends.
