Because the U.S.A. has slowly (or not so slowly) eroded our morales and taught us to only value corporations and our obligations to corporations.

We are forced to disregard the importance of family in order to fulfill the obligation to them that supports us.

People in USA (I thought it was everywhere) breaks up in relationship and marriage too often because of a lack of belonging to that person.

After awhile, the feeling that you had at the beginning dissipates and you really grow tired of being with the man (or woman) of your affections. Sometimes doing something to spice up the relationship works, but if it doesn't, then if you really care about that person, you should love them enough to let them go. However, sometimes it turns out not to be the case because the significant other would rather hold on for dear life than release the person.

I find your question to be interesting, that you think only U.S citizens have the highest divorce rates and then lowest tolerances. Based on your question, you believe that there is a direct correlation between tolerance and relationships breaking up. Why there is a very high divorce rate in the U.S.A, I say it has little to do with low tolerances. It most likely has to do with our culture. It’s acceptable right now at this point in history to marry and divorce all in the same breath. If you were to look back 50 years, you would see people still divorcing, but at a lesser rate because it was not as acceptable. Based on our population size, I’d say were about equal with most develop countries when it comes to ending marriages. As for the tolerance part of your question, do you not see who the president is. I didn’t vote for him and have had to put up with his continuing bungling of the presidency. I’d say US citizens are very tolerant. Perhaps too tolerant. It’s amazing to me that we could have so many items to pick from to impeach this guy, and yet haven’t. But fortunately, the election is coming up and we have the chance to pick a new leader, and perhaps a wiser one. At least I hope we do.

Laziness, too much work to make a marriage successful, went into it thinking they could "change" the other person, too young, too immature, the list goes on.

Then there are the abuse cases where people (usually women) get tired of their men treating them like punching bags and either kill their abusers or leave. American women have too much backbone (the majority of us, anyway) to stand for abuse. There is no law that says we have to stay with a man for the sole purpose of target practice.

Because there are too many people who want to take the easy way out instead of working through their problems.

Not getting to know the other person or themselves enough before marriage. Not exploring whether or not the partners can handle each others faults because everyone has them.

Alot of people marry young, out of desperation, or for the wrong reasons. They know that they can just go get a little paper saying "I quit" if something goes wrong.

Because it is more acceptable these days. Also in most cases, there is a lack of effort.
