WHAT WILL YOU DO IF YOU WERE IN MY PLACE AND FACED WITH SUCH DIFFICULTY? HELP?

Using friend account --- I am 29 years old woman with a child who is recently diagnosed with autism and I am at the stage of getting divorce because simply my husband doesn't want to be in the house with my child who is 10 and he started relationship else where. Long story short I started looking for a job to support my child's needs. I have mba and had worked previously as manager. The new job i got is small firm and the position I am given is assistant line manager( salary is low for my qualification and experience but I took the job as I need it now). From day one I have got bad vibes and hostile reception from most staff. The head of dept introduced me to all and he has told them that i will add alot of value and i am by far the best he has ever employed( he said that in front of them all and guess they didnt like it).

I come early morning to work and my line manager told me I should start with the front desk guy job just to have back ground how the dept functions. There is heavy politics at play and when I was there a week I decided to look work else where.......I found suitable job and better salary which is imp but believe it or not for the past two months my line manager kept me at the front desk( I kept asking him for my job description which he always says i will give u tomorrow..........this has dragged and they see me as threat because when the division head is not there the customers are treated poorly....politics is far more imp than doing the job well.....If i get late 5 minutes he marks with red pen but when others who does the bidding for him get late they never get red marks....He has three mobile phones in front of his desk all personal that he keeps chatting.........so yesterday he called me to the office of the division head who is on annual leave( he told me katie u r the best and i think u r doing well at the desk so I have prepared job description for u which is sitting and handling that desk and I will give your post to michael(the desk guy).......I asked him how does that work when I signed a contract as assistant manager? he said yeah no problem katie your salary and grade will be same but you will be at that desk.........I thanked him for his opening line and the praises and told him that i will not sign any job description and dont waste your time because that won't happen and I will speak to the hr now regarding this but also I want to know how you can tell me to do secretarial work and who are you to change my contract? You didn't hire me and you have no authority over me to do anything so I will speak to hr.........he said omg katie i didnt expect that answer from u but here is the job description of assistant manager ..............So basically he prepared both job descriptions and wanted me to sign the job of the front desk so he sends to hr.....

The thing is I am resigning either way tomorrow but I want to inform senior mgmt how this dept is complete shambles and how this man turned the place into complete fiasco........How will u deal with this? help

I would tell them I was leaving and I would tell them why. Then I would go about my business to the better job and never think about those people or that job again, unless it was to talk shyt and laugh.

You are telling us that you have a Masters in Business Administration, have previous management experience (way to go, btw), and don't know how to inform mgmt that you were set at a receptionists desk for so long after being hired that you have moved on? If you live in the USA, I'd try English.

Just tell them the truth an keep rolling. But no matter if you tell whats wrong or not you out there so i don't think its necessary Just move on an pray an ask GOD to bless you another JOB. YOU be fine but dont think about things you are not in your power to fix . Juts take it one day at a time. thats all anyone can do .peace. I pray you son be heal ,(in Jesus name!!!)peace always
