That's incest, although not biologically.

And it's infidelity and adultery on his part.

And it could technically be an affair for both of them if it's happening more than once.

And it's gross.

Adultery is when a married person has an inappropriate relationship with someone that he/she is not married to. An affair, is simply a love relationship between two people, and doesn't necessarily have to be adultery, because two single people can have an affair. A girl sexually involved with her step father is a lot of things. She is stupid. She is having an affair. HE is committing adultery, and they are both having an affair. He is stupid too, and a lecher besides.

Adultery is the cheating when married. Affair is the secret relationship between the married person and their mistress or man. Infidelity is a violation of the mutually agreed-upon rules or boundaries of an intimate relationship.

Being involved with your stepfather is beyond disgusting. You really want his you know what, anywhere near you when it has been near you mother? Major ew!!!

"Adultery" has biblical connotations. "Affair" is more a psychological term.

A stepfather and his step daughter being involved: it would depend on the timing of their involvement. Was the stepfather married to the mother at the time? Woody Allen comes to mind with this question.

You can only commit adultery if you are married. An affair can be between any people cheating on their other partners, including adultery.

An affair is an affair, but if you're married & you have an affair, you're committing adultery. The step-daughter/step-dad thing is just disgusting!

Are you having it off with your step-dad or something? Coz you asked a question earlier on the same subject!

I would consider adultery and affair to be interchangeable. I guess if someone used the word "affair" they might mean it to be an ongoing thing, rather than a one night stand. But they basically mean the same thing.

an affair would be an ongoing thing whereas adultery could be a one-off. Its not incest as they are not blood relatives.

Adultery is having sex with someone outside of your marriage. An affair is having sex outside of your marriage. Infidelity is sex outside of your marriage. If stepdad is married, and having sex outside of the marriage, it is all three. And very yucky, too.

Nothing, it's just the wording. That's like saying car vs automobile vs vehicle.
