Where did you go on your honeymoon, or have you and your spouse ever taken a trip somewhere absolutely incredible?
My husband and I are coming up on our 10th anniversary and due to circumstances at the time we wed, never went "away" on a honeymoon. We agreed to set aside the funds to take a special trip for this anniversary and I would LOVE to hear suggestions!

Honeymoon was to Turks and Caicos which was really great but almost a little too hot during the day since it was in July... last winter we went to Punta Cana and stayed at the Paradisus Palma Real. Amazing and well worth the price tag since it was all inclusive (not recommended you leave the resort for safety). The other bonus was the lack of families/children there. Seemed to be mostly couples which is great on an anniversary trip

Las Vegas. It has everything you could possibly want. Take a Italian gondola ride, walk through New York City. Volcanoes, dancing fountains, wild life, wild animals, not human ones, but there are some wild human ones..

Seriously, if you do not gamble, you don't have to. You can go touristing, there are museums, a candy factory[Mars], go to shows, see the sites, shop until you drop, and never put so much as a penny in a slot machine.

I like the atmoshere. Everyone has a theme, it is fun to see a Roman Gladiator standing attention, or watch some show girls pose for a picture. There is everything from g-rated entertainment, to nekked showgirls. The MGM GRAND hAD a show that had a volcano, a sinking titanic, an orangatan that was "naughty, and oh yeah, a room full of topless show girls.

Other places I loved that are suitable for a honeymoon would be Yellowstone park, San Francisco, Niagra Falls, the Wisconson Dells. SOME NOt so suitable, but very entertaining would be Washington DC, guaranteed to keep you busy for several days. Pick a smaller city, like St. Louis, see the gateway arch, forest Park, the Science Center, the Zoo, Budwieser brewery, and on and on. Go to the Muny opera. Chicago has some nice lake front views, museums, and aquarium, shopping, and tourist attractions like the Ferris Wheel and the Fountain. You will eat good in Chicago, there is a restaurant representing just about every culture on earth. we ate in a Hungarian restaurant.

My husband and I didn't have much money when we got married, so our honeymoon was modest. Last year we had come into some money through an inheritance, so spent a week in Maui. It was incredible, and something I would recommend to anyone. Lots to do if you like doing things, from snorkeling and scuba to ziplining and helicopter tours, or beautiful beaches if you just want to sit in the sun. We went in March, so got to see the humpback whales and babies, which was unbelievably awesome. It was also really nice to remind ourselves that after 14 years of marriage we still really liked spending time together. Congrats.

My first husband and I went on a cross country camping trip (with a little camper trailer) for our honeymoon. It was fun and relatively inexpensive (we were young and didn't have a lot of money at the time).

I've traveled a lot since that time, and my fave way to travel is a cruise. You get the most bang for your buck, and your "hotel" goes with you. Look into cruises to locations you'd like to visit and see if that seems like something you'd enjoy. I've cruised the Mediterranean twice and LOVED it. I've seen things that previously I'd only seen on the History or Discovery channel. Plus you've got 24 hour food, night clubs, fitness center, entertainment, swimming pools/hot tubs, and more all included. Then there are drink packages (alcohol and non,), specialty restaurants, spa treatments, and some other activities for an additional fee. Lots to keep you busy as you travel from port to port.

"All Inclusive" vacation to Can Cun, Mexico this winter. When it is cold and snowy here, the weather is warm down there and swim suits are the clothing of the day. All inclusive means you pay one price for everything, all meals, drinks, etc. Even a stocked bar in the rooms are covered under the inclusive price.

Pick a 5 star resort chain like RUI that has different resorts all over the area, that way if you are shopping or site seeing (and there is a lot to see and do in Can Cun) and you get hungry or thirsty, stop at the nearest RUI resort and have a meal or drink at no charge. It is included in your one "inclusive" fee for everything.

Activities include just about anything you would want to do from Suntanning on the Beach and having drinks brought to you, to going scuba diving, Lua style excursion on a Catamaran, to shopping in the local stores and open markets, to jet ski trip up a jungle river, nightly stage shows, to seeing a bull fight, to visiting Mayan Ruins, to Scuba diving or Snorkling, to Giant water park in the ocean with almost any water activity, visiting the off shore islands of Cozumel and Isle of Mujere to Para sailing behind boats. There are Too Many activities to list on this site.

Our honeymoon was in Maui for a week - we've been married for 13 yrs now and we can STILL remember all the details of that honeymoon. We did postpone it for a year so we could pay for it with tax money.

For my first honeymoon we went to the next town over and stayed the weekend ha Howard Johnsons. We were very young and broke. The second we got married in Las Vagas and honeymooned in Tahiti on the island of Moorea. Very nice.

We went to Bermuda for our honeymoon nine years ago. We both really enjoyed it, but a few years ago we attended a destination wedding in the Cayman Islands and that blew Bermuda away. Nicer resort, more activities to do, warmer, a little less crowded, it was really enjoyable. We plan on going back eventually.

We were planning an tenth anniversary European cruise, was saving for about 18 months. We got pregnant and had our child an month before.

That money went to baby stuff.

Hawaiian Islands, the island of Lanai.

There are two unbelievable resorts, one on the shore (Manele Bay) and one in the mountains (Koele). Split your time between the two resorts (stay a few nights at each). If a plane ticket direct into Lanai is prohibitively expensive, you can take a ferry over from Maui (Lahaina).

Well, my answer will be a complete 180 from the beachy suggestions, but my husband and I prefer the wilderness to the sun and sand. We went on a cruise, but to Alaska! Princess Cruises, it left from Seattle, WA. Completely breathtaking the whole way, the nature and activities once we arrived were one in a lifetime... can't recommend it enough!

We didn't have a legit honeymoon, but the year after we got married, we took a Caribbean cruise and it was absolutely breath-taking. We went to Haiti, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands...it was so gorgeous and fairly inexpensive for what it was. We swam with stingrays; that was like, our favorite part of the whole thing!

Yeah, like BabeHeart said, cruises are amazing and you get to do so much. And if you don't feel like doing something one day, there's enough to do on the boat and enough to eat that you don't feel like you're wasting any money. They are great ways to travel and allow you to see so much and do so much in a set amount of time.

Lmao, gee, guess I am poor compared to the rest of the folks on here :P We live in Michigan, so we just made the drive up to Canada and went camping. Cost of the trip? Gas. And believe me we definitely had fun even if it wasn't on a cruise ship or sitting on a private beach

I might not be the best candidate since I am not married but last night I was watching the Bachelorette on tv and the lady dumped some guy while they were having a picnic atop a cliff in Ireland overlooking the ocean with castles behind them, and in that moment I was like THAT IS WHERE I AM HONEYMOONING!

It is different for different people. I like going to thailand to hotel right on the beach, so u do not need to leave your room terrace. U lie there, have sex, eat, listen to waves and in between go and swim in a water that is very warm, i swim for 2 hours non stop , that is hw warm it is. Breakfast is brough to your terrace as well. I like beach, sun and sea or ocean. Some people re fond of trailers and hiking, u pay me money i wouldnt stay in a trailer
