I think we got caught cheating in college. What will happen?

We had a group homework and we copied a problem from another group. Everyone in that class received an email about 7 groups cheating. It said the groups will be reported. What do you think will happen to the groups who cheated. I'm very nervous. I have an A in that class and never cheated before, but this time I had to copy someone because I was up 40 hours doing my work before finals and none of my group mates offered to help with the work. I am a freshman in college btw.

I got caught cheating, making fake ID, girls sleeping over in my dorm room, drinking on campus,

and was on scholastic probation for 5 years.



Just deny everything. Once you admit what happened, you are screwed.

College is for learning, learning how to manipulate the system.



Grow a set and go drink beer.

I went to college a little later in life so not only did I work 40 hours a week but my kids were very young and the man I was married to drove a taxi so I basically did everything on my own and I did not cheat. You did NOT have to copy someone's paper. You need to be expelled so someone that really deserves to be there can.

When you do something against the university/college's rules you will be given a date where you have like a mini-trial in front of the school board and they decide what will happen to your education. Bad luck for you guys but next time be careful, I doubt your prof will take it this far though, you most likely will just lose some points on the assignment.

for most of my classes the rule was "first time caught cheating, fail the assignment, second time caught cheating, fail the course", never had anyone expelled or anything though..

Time will tell...most institutions take cheating very seriously...

unfortunately if they implicate you, you and your group will be expelled. colleges really crack down on cheating. sorry
