help. Need advise on how to go about getting a divorce. I was pretty young when I got married, actually got married in Las Vegas and got seperated right after we got married, unfortunately I don't know where my ex lives since we have not kept in touch.

I don't know where she lives and have tried to contact her at the last known address.

My wife was a lot older than me and I was in college on the opposite coast when we got married, I was young and stupid.

And we have been seperated for 6 years of the 6 years we were married. I came to America for an education and left last year when I was done, I need to get a divorce but don't know to go about getting it, since I no longer live in America.

Please help, all advise is welcomed and appreciated.

ok, i went throught the same thing. its quite easy. go to the local courthouse and tell them you need a "abandonment" divorce. tell them you dont know where she is. and if you have no kids, or property. in 60 days, your divorce will be final. it cost me about 400 dollars. i went to the courthouse, told the judge my wife took off. they then place a summons in the paper. if she doesnt appear, they give another 30 days to process. the catch is, if she doesnt read the local paper, or visit the courthouse, she doesnt know the papers have been filed. and its done! dont have her served. you have to pay everytime the constable goes to serve. e-mail me and i will give the details in full. you can do this without ever having to try to contact her!

I believe you file the divorce and she will be served at her last known address. When time to go to court that attempted serve will be presented to the judge and the judge will likely order the divorce. You can also have her served at a family's address too I believe. A judge can make a order based on 'unknown whereabouts' with proof of attempted contact.

First thing to do is contact a lawyer. They will find her. There are all kinds of ways she can be found and they know how. Let them serve her with papers. They maybe after a time were they may just give you the divorce. But your lawyer can answer that one.

Get in contact with the county in which you gained your marriage license and ask about what you choose to do to break up. i trust you could divorce someone with suggestions from what's termed "default." in the U.S., counting on the particular state's guidelines, you could report for divorce and record "abandonment" because the reason with suggestions from explaining that you do not recognize in case your better half is lifeless or alive, it really is probable actual on your case. better: in case you recognize her very last address, then the petition for divorce ought to correctly be despatched there or forwarded with suggestions from the submit workplace to her new address. With pcs lately, searching human beings isn't all that confusing quite once you've her finished call, very last conventional address, and date of start. i ought to also contact a divorce criminal specialist with adventure in internationals and extraterrestrial beings dealing with a divorce. sturdy success.
