Question:
Is the grass sometimes greener?

If you were not happy and fell out of love and started a relationship while married is it possible that the grass is not greener? Sometimes I feel that I should have watered my yard better.

In the beginning it looks greener and it even feels greener, but when reality hits, and everyday life comes to play, your going to want to run home where you belong. It's not to late to water your yard better. Where there's a will there's a way. And where there is hope there is promise. So never give up.

The grass is hardly ever greener on the other side. It's not too late. Start watering your yard and get all the help you can to get it back to where it should be or even better. Don't give up. Stop thinking of the other side and take care of what's in your yard. If you don't, you'll always be looking for a greener yard and never finding it. Good luck!

Hey Betty, I don't think it is a matter of the grass being greener. More so the grass is just different. Some areas of my lawn respond well to watering, while other areas just won't grow, regardless. No two people are the same. We are all human. No one is perfect and no two relationships are the same. So trading out one guy for another, while it may bring some new benefits, may also bring different issues. While having an affair maybe exciting, it may also bring complexities and stress. It really depends on you and your situation. Realizing that the moralistic righteous will judge you harshly, I believe that you simply need to decide what is best for you, and act accordingly. Either way, it doesn't make you a better or worse person. Enjoy!

The grass always LOOKS greener, but if you go through any yard, you're gonna find some holes in the ground. It's never a good idea to start a relationship while married. If you start a new relationship on the foundation of "cheating", what makes you think they won't start a relationship with someone else while married to YOU? The simple fact is that, every person in this world has some sort of quirks, hangups, or problems. Some of them are not so big, and some of them are as serious as addictions. However, to go looking while you're supposed to be committed to someone else, only asks for trouble. Do you really find true marriage material in someone that's willing to steal you out from under someone else or vice versa? You need to do some inner soul searching and see what's going on in YOU instead of looking for what you need in other people. My mother used to say, "Don't jump from the frying pan to the fire"....and that's exactly what this is. I'm not saying you don't ever find someone "better"...it's just better to find someone when you're free and clear to do so. Good luck.

If the grass is greener on the other side, it might be because the septic tank is leaking.

If you're married, you have not business starting a relationship with another person.

I don't buy that "I fell out of love" crap. Love is not a warm fuzzy feeling. Love is honoring, respecting, serving each other. Love is being true to your vows of for better or worse. Love is standing by your mate and standing your ground when the rest of the world would like to tear you apart.

I hope it's not too late to save your marriage. I hope you do the right thing and get it straight. May God bless you and give you direction.

The grass is not always greener. You should always weed your yard and fertilize it in order for it to grow plentiful grass.

If you have the chance, start tending the lawn you had and weed out the crab grass and hopefully it will want to bare nice shards of grass.

You might have to replant your lawn all together and start fresh, your soil was tainted but soil can heal with the right mixture of fertilizer if you leave the other yard alone.

Sometimes when things get neglected other lawns look good but your foundation lays in the yard you started with and that is the only lawn you should be playing in,

Wish you all the luck

I like that analogy......

Your grass isn't green because you didn't water the yard! Classic!

The grass is *almost* always not greener. It might look that way. It's just the lighting.

When someone else starts watering your yard you will see how nice it could have been, if only you had made more effort.

You should definitely water more often, and with better care. The grass is almost NEVER greener and you will eventually wish you had never started this relationship. Get out while you can, and work on your marriage. It is possible to save it, but I bet the man you are seeing would NEVER leave his wife.

It's always better to water your yard. Just because the grass outside was not as green as you thought, does not mean that the grass at home will ever be green. Look before you leap!

No the grass is not always greener....relationships are work...tend your own, before moving on to what you consider greener fields....maybe the fertilizer there is just better, if you know what I mean.....

If you're married and cheating, it's never greener. Oh it may look green, the blades might be shiny and new but so long as you continue to ignore your REAL problems, that grass just fades, becomes brittle and dies.

It may seem greener at the moment. But it wont be. You should really try working on your marriage. Fall back in love with your husband. Go on a romantic weekend away. Date your husband.

it always look greener, i have to say. but in reality, it might not be true. unless you're very unhappy with your current marriage, you may be risking something greener within the yard that you just don't know. we don't know whether the next one is better than the current one though. that's just life!....as forrest gump put: life is like a box of chocolates, we never know what's inside." and allow me to add one more line: even if we open it, we may still don't know what's inside until we taste all of them. good luck!

If you have kids immediately break up with the other cheater and give your marriage everything you have. NEVER bring up this horrible mistake to anyone ever again.

If you don't have kids you should probably get a divorce and take several months to give yourself a thorough self examination. Why did you do this? Will you do it again? What could you have done different.

Either way you should break up with the other guy because, frankly, he is pond scum like you are now. Do you want to continue down this road? You decide.

Sure it is possible that the grass is not always greener, but make sure you keep it moist and watered, here, take my garden hose and give yourself a squirt.

you must start out with good soil, in a relationship. looks, money and sex is not good ground to plant a future in.

The newness of relationships will always give a green color.... but it takes work to keep it that way.
