Wireless, remote controlled vibrator?

Question

My wife and I are talking about getting a wireless, remote controlled vibrator. Has anyone ever used one of these? Are the ones that are external (wireless butterfly) or internal (egg) more effective? I ask that one since DW typically enjoys clitoral stimulation most, and therefore the butterfly seems like it makes more sense. However, from looking online, the butterfly looks like it might be a bit awkward to wear out in public, and maybe the egg would be better. But, does the egg stay in ok (I like that the butterfly had straps)? Does anyone have any experience? We want to use this in public, like at a restaurant or bar.

My suggestion is to build your own. I spent about $80 on one and it was a piece of crap. The underwear piece was awkward fitting and could not be easily hidden with normal clothes. I gave up on the underwear and was going to modify another piece of clothing to fit. Before I got that far the darn thing just stopped working. Batteries were fine, but the motor inside killed. Do not get a butterfly. This is the only one I have had experience with it, and was not at all satisfied. To have enough power, they have to be fairly large. And the straps pretty much just allow it to sit on the lips, instead of the clit. During sex, it won't stay in place either, unless you hold it, which can be difficult while being intimate. I would try something smaller (I think most sex shops have little ones that look like necklaces), especially if you're wanting to use it in public. I have not tried this, but would not suggest a butterfly.
