Question:
Separated from military husband won't ship car....?

I moved back from overseas with our child, on EROD. They extended the orders to give the husband (whom i'm separated from) a chance to fix the car and ship it. It has been three months. The car is completely fixed, I called the car shop myself. He needs to pick it up and schedule a date to ship it back to me. And then he has to ship it. I have called his 1st SGT, I have talked to my lawyer, no one is keeping in the loop of what's going on. The car is in MY NAME, I'm making payments. It's hard for me to work & take my child to daycare when I don't have the car.

Is there ANYTHING I can do to push them to get off their butts and do this? I want nothing from him but my car back.

Do I report it stolen? To local police? To Military Police? Do I go to the jugde here and file a small claim? Do I call JAG (they aren't much help). Do I write to congress? This isn't fair they are allowing him to do this, I understand the military really dosen't care about the spouses when the soldier leaves them & I'm all for supporting our troops despite the fact he left us in a foreign land, but I need that car back. He's about to deploy and then I really won't hear anything back from anybody.

No divorce has been filed yet. I've called the commander, the folks, the state rep, I've sent certified letters. NOTHING.

PLEASE HELP ME AND GOD BLESS!

Stop paying for the car. No payments made, no car. The military may not get involved in this. Papers may not be filed for divorce..yet, but maybe your husband is really ticked off at you.

Why don't you sell the car there and buy a new one here. This seems like a no brainer because it costs thousands of dollars to ship a car overseas and it is ridiculous to pay to fix a car and pay to fix it when you can just sell it and get another one. Not to mention you will not have to deal with him if you do it this way.

Also, there is nothing you can do about him not sending you the car because I doubt you have it in writing that he would do it by a certain date or any other proof against him.
