My Husband and I Live in Bradenton, Florida and we are looking to move to Tampa/ Brandon area within this year, by December 1st. I am in the process of medical concerns with an illness i have, PCOS, and I love my doctor. We have been married since October of 2008, We are living on our own in an Apartment and he would like to have his best friend as a room mate when we move. My husband and I love being in the city area, and love the nightlife. At first I thought it was a great idea to move and everything, and have a room mate, now im having second thoughts. I want to stay in Bradenton for another year so I know my medical issue is undercontrol, and im also trying to become a CNA through a nursing home...Its my dream, and since i cant really pay for college right now, i think this is the best rate to go. SOOO, Do I Move to Brandon which is between tampa and where i live now, Or stay where we are now and look for a house while i start my career and get healthier...? Im soo confused, If i stay, Ill hurt two people, My husband, and my husbands friend who we already told we were moving to tampa...PLEASE HElp, I DONT want to be a controlling wife...I already told my husband im having issues moving...its bad enough i dont see my family where we are at now, and we're only 40 minutes away from them...

P.S. My husband are on the rocks just a bit, because we have alot of stress, and we barely have time together, and its hurting us...We work the same job, at the same post, thats our quality time we get...sucks!

There are a lot of excellent physicians in Tampa and it's where the USF medical school is with the more advanced medical practices. You might want to check to see who handles PCOS in Tampa before you rule it out.

You do not need another year to become a CNA. You can have that finished well before Dec. 1. Bayonet Point Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hudson, FL is offering free training as a certified nurse's aide. Applications have to be in by June 5 and the course starts June 15. 727-863-1521 You might want to put in an application there and then it would be good to live in the western end of Tampa versus Bradenton.

December 1 is a long time from now and you should be checking out treatment in the Tampa area as well as job possibilities. There are nursing homes in Tampa who may be willing to help you out with the same deal you have now. Go to yahoo yellow pages, look up nursing homes and make some phone calls. In addition, Hillsborough County has a low cost CNA training progam.

Here is a list of the state approved cna courses

I suggest you get your CNA, get a job and then take coursework to become an LPN. LPNs make good money.

Ok first off Im sorry if this sounds unsympathetic but I don't see what your making such a big deal of. Your talking about moving less then 1 hour or 50 miles from where you are at now. Do you realize how many people commute longer then that each day?

Secondly, PCOS is a very common illness and it's not like you have to see your doctor daily or even weekly so a drive to maintain the same doctor should not be a big deal. Or I am sure you could easily find a doctor in your new area if you don't chose to make the drive. Your not dealing with a highly specialized or a terminal disease here where medical treatment will be huge ordeal or set up.

To be a CNA, it's not a specialized thing or requires extensive schooling. Most nursing homes offer the same programs as the one you are talking about working through your CNA. Even if you had to go to school for it most JR colleges run CNA programs that can last anywhere from 6 weeks to semester. not longer. At a JR college at $10 to $15 dollars a credit plus registration and lab fees the max it would cost you is $250 to $300 dollars plus another $150 or so in books making it $500 or less. FOr which you can easily get a grant or a student loan.

Finally you say you work with your husband. same place, same time how is it possible you have no time together? Working same place, same time your at work together AND you have the same time off together. What are you doing rather then spending quality time together in your time off?

I know it sounds harsh but really your reasoning or statement of your "problems" makes no sense. your making a mountain out of a molehill.

Which move will help your marriage more? I personally think your health is most important, but wherever you see the both of you being happier might be the best idea. Can you travel to the Doc you like from where you would move? Maybe that could be an option. This is a tough one. Good luck. Get better. :)

Go where you're the happiest at. And tell your husband his friend needs to get his own place. 2's company....3's a crowd...
